Importing your data

Your price book and rate sheet are your crown jewels — nobody should retype them.

Band rates (manpower)

Settings → Band rates → Upload accepts .xlsx/.csv; parsed rows land in the grid for review before you save. Template downloads a sheet whose columns are exactly what the importer expects.

Two rules the importer never breaks:

1. Every imported rate lands as DRAFT. Bulk data goes through the same Finance approval as hand-typed data — an import can never silently mint an approved rate.
2. Bad rows never sink good ones. Each problem row is reported with its Excel row number and reason; the rest import.

BOQ / materials

On the Commercial tab’s materials panel, Import xlsx appends lines to the project’s manual BOQ (imports add — they never replace a priced set). Percentages accept both 15 and 0.15.
